If an idea comes to me I may try it, but right now I have about 8 stories lined up in my personal queue in various stages of completion, and I doubt that any of them will fit a themed contest.

500 hundred words will certainly be a challenge, but what the heck, I'll see if I can restrain my normal verbiage!

It might be fun to learn to use one word where I would normally use three or more.

I personally don't like 500 words because it don't think it allows character or plot development.
The phrase "Wham bam thankyou ma'am" seems to describe most of this genre.
Personal point of view I know, but I don't rate my two or three previous efforts at this genre highly, so I shall regrettably withdraw from this one.

500 words, quite a lot. Pad it out a bit, I suppose.
