Caleb, you can't let them chose! Not that I have a great deal of experience in chastising badly behaved females but as I understand it you must say sternly, right then young ladies, six of the best with the holly bush!! Or something they wont enjoy in the least, otherwise it is not a punishment! You will have queues of librarians all confessing to crimes they haven't committed and we shall have a situation like we had last week where perfectly innocent members of the public going about their business are snowballed!!
