A Goldilocks problem: looking for ideas

I hope this is the right part of the forum; let me know if there's a better one and I'll move this.

I have about 100k words on Jessica and Kyle Macklin on my computer, the result of some truly epic procrastination this past year. Some of the stories here were published by LSF, for which I am grateful. But I like the idea of putting together a full arc in a book length format. The problem is it's basically a romance with occasional spanking (large chunks of my files have none at all, nor even reference to it) so probably not a good fit for LSF/DD/kink-type publishers, but I can't write it and still like it if I turn it into a spanking free romance like a Harlequin novel.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to somewhere this might be not too spanky for vanilla writing, not too light on spanking for spanking fiction, but just right? I am a tech idiot so not ability, nor time, to figure out the Amazon self publishing thing

Literotica would be a great choice, but it would be dependent on the content of the story. I know for a fact there can't be any underaged characters, or punishment spankings because that would break the consensuality rule of the site. Archive of Our Own (AO3) is an unideal but safe option; the site is geared towards fanfiction content but there is an albeit small original works category. I'm also 90% AO3 doesn't even have any content restrictions.

Thank you - hadn't thought of that, I'd assumed something longer couldn't work in a venue like that, but serials are always a thing.

It might be far too PG-13 for Literotica (the story turns out to be about people who live in my head and their lives, of which spanking is a minor but important part) but I've seen absolutely everything on AO3, which has lots of completely sex and romance free writing (although also some stuff I wish I hadn't, my eyes, my eyes ...)

I do not know who publishes Lynn Carlyle. She writes that her "goal [is] to provide for readers romantic, sexy and often funny stories involving spanking romance."

You might want to post it on fictionpress.com. They have many stories with plots here spankings barely make a splash in the overall novel.

This thread caught my eye from another perspective. I have searched for a site that has spanking fan fiction along the lines of the type of stories published on LSF. With so many of these sites its like lookiing for a needle in a haystack to find something along the lines of what I am looking for. Too often fan fiction has brutal, cruel depictions along severe bdrm lines , and of course some is totally non-kink.
The subject matter can involve involve real-life celebrities, characters from movies or TV shows, comics super heroines, and the like. An example is a story of mine on here titled Xena and Gabrielle Get Spanked.
Among the departed Yahoo Groups were a couple called CelebsPunished and CelebritiesPunished. Much fake artwork of celebs like pop singers, actresses, women pro wrestlers,TV shows like Xena,and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Lots of depictions of spankings, whippings, bondage etc. Also a board for comments and requests.
.Some of it did cross a line over to what I can't condone. One time there was a picture of Britney Spears with a bloody, battered face. Someone liked the idea of her getting beaten up.
I protested commenting that while a picture of Britney with a red ,well-spanked bottom could be amusing or erotic this is not! Nothing but sick cruelty. I was attacked in a reply, saying that there was no difference between the two and that I was being judgmental ,saying someone else's kink was not okay.
NO its not!Getting a kick out of scenes of rape,torture, maiming do not belong on sites featuring exploration of erotic expression or sexuality.
And of course Yahoo Groups had our wonderful spanking 'zine BaredAffair. I wonder if it is still up somewhere. It was, but seems to be no longer at that archive.
Also the old SIN site ran stories along these lines. An author would feature a celeb who had gotten into some sort of mischief or misadventure, alter her name to something similar, and write a story. Or use a real first name and no last.

I don't know exactly how Literotica defines "non consent" or "consensual" but there are plenty of punishment spankings in judicial and slave settings. Perhaps those don't come under the category of consensual because it is the system, not a parent or a domme, that gives the punishment. The no under 18 rule is there.
