Year ago I came across a story called Linda Charlton. She was a young teacher that left a whole set of class work on a bus and decided to make up the results instead of admitting her mistake to the Headmaster. Unfortunately for Linda someone found the class work and brought it in the school which led to an uncomfortable meeting with the Headmaster who saw no alternative but to ask for her resignation for falsifying the results. Linda pleaded to be given a second chance and in the end suggested that she be caned. Eventually the Headmaster agreed but Linda was not prepared for his actual sentence which was twelve strokes across her bare bottom. Does anyone recall this story or have any idea where it might have come from? PG |
