Best three spankings in Mainstream non-spanking novels

Finding a spanking in a non-spanking novel is always an arousing and surprising joy, my three favourites out of many are:

Tai Pan - James Clavell
The Sparrow Falls - Wilbert Smith
Island Flame - Karen Robards (one my wife found for me)

Brosse6, thanks to you I was able to hit the jackpot. I love finding spanking references in vanilla works. I was able to locate all three in the state library system. Anybody wo has cool description in a non-spanking oriented book I would appreciate the information.

Another good one is Blood Red Rose by Maxwell Grant.

Also many of the numerous novels by Christoper Nicole contain a spanking. He also wrote under a number of other pseudonyms including female ones where spankings occur.

It is worth looking up Romain Gary, he has a very interesting life story. There was an exhibition of his wartime activities in Paris in 2008.

[1] The Wandering Hill (F/M) by Larry McMurtry

In order to obtain information from her victim, an elderly witch spanks a stubborn goblin (who retains his clothing, whatever goblins wear) across her lap with the sole of her shoe until he gives in. (This is from the "Magic, Inc." novella in the book.)
