For some reason, people have commented that my work is harsh. Don't see it that way myself but each to their own.
Well, there's "harsh" by real-life standards and then by fantasy standards, they aren't necessarily the same, I'd venture that in many cases there is a considerable difference between the two.
As a writer, I often just find it gratifying to have a fictional spankee undergo corporal correction (albeit limited to swats upon his/her bare bottom) which I would be opposed to having administered to a similar individual (in terms of age, size, general health and resilience) in a real-life situation.
However, there is also the reality that some spankophiles take quite severe consensual butt-blisterings in their real lives on occasion, without any serious or lasting negative effects--yet in some of the comments on stories about such chastisements occurring in real-life existence, it has been asserted that the spankee would realistically have been hospitalized and/or incapacitated by such "harsh" discipline.
Of course, "harsh" might also include the emotional context of a particular spanking as well...
