Two days! It explains that on the first page, where it also shows it was posted on 11 August. Of course, this is holiday time for many.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has taken the time and effort to write something for the contest. We have 45 entries so far, which is brilliant!

If anyone else wants to submit something, you have until midnight tomorrow (GMT) to do so!

In view of the number of entries received, we are going to extend the voting period by another week, to give everyone plenty of time to read all the stories without having to rush.

Yes I think the extra time for reading and voting is a great idea too. The level of entries is truly amazing
