Bare-bottom spanking in new movie

The character clearly initiated it. So I would say she at least wanted it.

Mainly just a shot of her head with about 3 or 4 spanks just as the clip ends. Just enough to really make you wish they had showed more. A full on shot of her laying nude over his lap would have been nice. Given the extreme rare occasion of finding a spanking scene in a main stream movie these days this was a pretty nice find.

I saw Inherent Vice last night. After the research I put in here yesterday thanks to PhilK I was well prepared for the "spanking scene" which comes near the end of the film. Now for those who might be interested in this movie just for the spanking scene, save your money. Watch the clip downloaded above of the scene. This is exactly what you see in the movie. We really don't see the spanking itself as she is facing the camera which is focused on her face. You hear the slaps but really see nothing in detail. However, the movie itself is interesting and it has a great cast including Josh Brolin and Owen Wilson. It's set in Southern California in 1970.

I haven't seen the whole movie, but the entire (long) scene that leads to the spanking. I agree with Robert that the camera angle isn't perfect from a spanko perspective, but psychologically and narratively it does make sense. I guess we just have to hope that the bonus material for the DVD contains the scene from another camera angle

Good point Alef. many times when a movie goes to DVD they include scenes and extra material that did not make it into the initial movie released to the theatres. We can hope that there may have been other camera angles which were cut and may end up back in the DVD version. Hopfully also if there are someone will find them and post links to those scenes as well.
