Thanks CS...I appreciate your comments and encouragement. I have been a reader for several years and it is a good feeling to have this first story posted. Now to get to work on the second one.

Well, as I stated in my comments on your story, which I greatly enjoyed (strict-but-caring, maternal-style spanking disciplinarians are compelling characters to me), certainly there was an overall societal acceptance of children being spanked back in the late 1950s-early '60s time period.

I've lived in Texas for over three decades and still consider it to be a bizarre place, notably regarding the way that politicians are allowed by the public to behave (they're the ones who truly deserve multiple, severe bare-assed blisterings), but it certainly is a classic location for child-spanking literature.

It did strike me that there's an autobiographical element to your writing, because it was quite realistic; if the woman in the story was based on your own RL mother, you were blessed during your childhood--although it may not have seemed that way while her "black ebony hairbrush" was cracking across your boyish bare behind... --C.K.

Goodness, C.K. thank you for your insightful response. While I must stay on Ms Flopsy's good side and say, of course, I stayed with the rules that all of our works are fictional....but yes, very realistic memories, that's for sure. That's why the close of the story is very real.....I do miss Mom.....but certainly not that dang ole black ebony hairbrush. Naughty Pet/Texas J
