As no doubt many of you have noticed we are currently experiencing some issues with the site in regards to slowness/timeouts. Unfortunately, with the problem being of an intermittent nature it's taken a while for our host to agree that there's a problem. However, they have now observed that there's an issue so hopefully that's promising in terms of getting things resolved. In the meantime, the site is likely to be slow or unresponsiveness for periods of time.

Me, too. This is horrible. I can only imagine if we didn't have this site how it would be like with just this happening. Gives us all something to think about I guess.

Thanks for informing us of this. I just wrote a comment and tried to post it only to have "timed out - try later" come up on the screen. This is bad, but could be worse. Thanks for all you do for us. Februs.

Things seem to be getting worse. We may have to consider taking the site down altogether until the situation is resolved.

Just to let everyone know that the problems we were experiencing were showing no signs of abating but we have been able to change the ip address of the site as a means of hopefully resolving the situation. The downside of this is that the site will be unavailable for people for typically anything between 1 and 8 hours while their ISP's DNS servers get updated with our new ip.

Thank you again, Februs. It seems to be working fine now. Got my fingers crossed. You're a gem, Febs.

I never experienced too many issues, just some slowness here and there, but it is working better now.

Whew, good to hear, Februs. Having been around websites and suddenly seeing them gone never to be seen again was a really scary and unsettling thought. You're the best, Februs ...
