Thanks everyone for the very kind words. I still remember doing my very first validation nearly three years ago and before the library existed in this external format. I love this site and watching it grow has been fabulous and I am always pleased to contribute to it in whatever small way I can

Rick... you're right, makes no sense at all to a Brit

Very impressive, very humbling, but above all hugely appreciated. All the validators unpaid work is vital. To work your way through that many stories of variable quality or interest to yourself is truly heroic. Thank you so much.

Sorry to add a less than enthusiastic note to this thread but....six thousand validations but at what cost? How many bottles of single malt has she consumed? How many packets of crisps? I think we should be told the full facts!

Such an accomplishment requires enormous dedication. It puts me in mind of those medieval monks who spent their lives, day after day after day, hunched over a table meticulously transcribing and illuminating sacred manuscripts, most likely by candle light. And they never got so much as a single crisp!

Though, I suppose the plentiful supply of brandy and wine must have been of some comfort!
