We only have a handful of these at present but it's probably still worth mentioning. I've rewritten the code that handles ordered series so that all of the parts can be viewed from within any of the stories that constitute the series. Previously you would have needed to close the story viewer, located the next part and then fired it up for browsing.

For those thinking what the hell is an ordered series it's a number of individual stories with a common theme that are intended to be read in a particular order. It differs from a serial in that each part is a standalone story which can be read independently of the others should you wish.

We only have 3 defined at the moment:

Billboard's which begins with Witness To A School Paddling
Flopsy's which begins wth Horrible Aunt Harriet
Shanr's which begins with Incarcerated

If you've got a number of stories loaded which you think may constitute an ordered series as described above and you'd like them indicated as such then just send us an email listing the stories (in order) that make up the series and I'll set them up for you.

Februs, you're never one to let grass grow on your keyboard. You and your team are a group of extraordinary individuals. I for one couldn't thank you enough for what you and your team do.

Seriously, Februs, I don't know why you bother wasting your time on series-related matters, something that benefits only those authors (and their readers) who write such things, rather than the entire LSF membership.

snigger.

May I offer with my author's hat on hearty thanks to dear Febs for his untiring efforts for those who write such things, and also with my reader's codpiece on for his being willing to do something to prevent the feeling that sometimes comes over me when I read out of order...

"Durr what was all that about? Why did he say she was being spanked AGAIN when it was only the first time? And what was the hamster-mayonnaise incident they kept referring to?

Off to compose a long e-mail explaining the complex web of relationships within my stories...

A very useful feature. I'm sure there are lots of authors (like me until earlier today) who've written an ordered series without realising it.

This is an excellent feature, especially when there's a series that isn't numbered in the standard manner.

To think Februs, I was going to write to you about this ordered series. What can be done. You beat me to it.

I have to agree with everybody else: This is a most useful feature. Quite a number of times I have stumbled across one of the stories in such a series, and often it has taken quite some work to find the other parts. In some cases, I may not even have realized that there were more stories to look for.
