Come on now Alef, don't tell giant fibs. We all know it was blimp who ate the end of your nose, thinking it was a celebratory sausage roll.

And how does this explain what happened to my head(s)?

A belated Happy Birth here from New Jersey. I don't know exactly how the Library managed to function for its first seven months, but it's sure been fan-tabulous since I joined. I'm not claiming any credit here - that belongs to Februs, flopsy, Pink, Linda and the rest of the gang, who actually do the WORK.

I came upon this site early on and remember it had fewer than 500 stories.
For a long time I enjoyed reading and then got the impression that comments
would be welcome, so I have tried to do that also. Usually I try to offer
suggestions for future stories by an author. I think the authors like this, based
on some of their comments to me.
Above all, the site is easy to use and there is so much on it, with more every day.
Thanks to all!!

The site had just under 1,900 items when we initially launched it on its own URL on Aug 30th, 2009.

I think I got here in September '09. I was just looking for a place to archive my stories in the wake of the demise of the old Geocities sites--my Tales from a Switch had been closed down. Lo and behold, not only did I find an archive, but it got me writing again, something I might not have done without all the encouragement. So, yeah, a very happy birthday and thanks again to Februs, flopsy, Pink, Linda, the validators staff, the readers, the writers, the commentators and the forum contributors.
