Emma happens to see a bank robbery, so is at risk as a witness. She proves very uncooperative when the Marshal, Travis, is detailed to protect her, but is taken to his ranch anyway. She defies orders and earns herself the first of many spankings. Through various means, Travis keeps her safe, and has plans for a move to California with Emma as his wife. Life is good, until they learn that the bank robber Mercado has escaped, intent on seeking revenge. Emma's life is in danger unless Travis can protect her...
