Lucinda, at eighteen thinks her school days are over but her father has other ideas. He arranges for her to spend the next two years at Birchwood Castle School for Girls, a strict boarding school where she is expected to work hard, obey the rules, and make up for all her earlier years of misbehaving and failing to apply herself to her studies. Lucinda soon discovers that Birchwood has a very strict corporal punishment regime and in a very short time she experiences the impact of a variety of implements including birch, cane, paddle, tawse and crop. She settles into life at the school and makes a good friend in her room mate Samantha - who seems just as naughty as Lucinda. The two girls regularly get into various scrapes and pay the price for their infractions on their bare bottom.
