Cowboy Hero is the story of ranch owner Travis, and Beth - the runaway he finds when he returns from a long cattle drive. She is badly beaten and injured, so Travis takes her home, gets her checked out by the doctor, and then resolves to be her protector. He knows quite early on in the relationship that she is the woman for him.
