Februs:
Two of them are off socialising and drinking 100% proof spirits,

Februs, sadly that fizzy Vimto didn't quite have the kick we were looking for,
hence a case of good whisky would go down a treat!

Thanks, Blimp, for being so appreciative

You mean it did go down a treat! Okay, maybe not quite a case, but I do have to say that much whisky, Crabbie's and Bailey's was drunk ... and so was I!

Thanks again for a great weekend, corncrake ... sorry if the sight of my hubby coming in with an axe and two chain-saws gave you a bit of a turn!

Well I am quite sure I could drink them all under the table! In my youth a case of good whisky would be polished off before breakfast!! You rarely find a woman who can hold her drink.

Any time Mr Blimp, any time!! I can SO drink you under the table

Do you like pernod

That sounds like a challenge, blimp! See you in the pub ... I'll bring a bucket

Apparently the Hindi for "bucket" is "balti", so that sounds quite generous. The guy who was in "Goodness Gracious Me!" and then was the fake superstar of "The Kumars at Number 42" presented a series on India and he said if you went into a restaurant in India and asked for a balti they'd think you were going to be sick.

Goodgulf:
Last night I sent in 5 stories - and they are already up. That's a blindly fast turnaround.

njrick:
It could be better. I haven't yet seen the story I intend to send in next week.

What about my story? I have not seen it, even though I have not written it yet.

Exactly. Despite all the accolades, it seems there is more slacking than we're willing to acknowledge.

Lucky I hadn't posted that crate of good whisky off to the Librarians then! Better make it a crate of fizzy Vimto instead!
