Ok, I know I may regret asking, but I've read several references to "Ms Thrashbottom" and need an explanation please? (remember I'm still relatively new).

Ms. Thrashbottom is the LSF's resident disciplinarian, to whose office misbehaving LSF members are sent to have their bottoms thrashed. It's right down that corridor over there - why don't you stop by to make her acquaintance?

Well, I wouldn't be foolish enough to presume to speak for 'Miss T,' but if you were to knock on her study door and tell the woman that you've been engaging in sexual harassment of Library members and feel quite guilty about it, then possibly...

She's always been very concerned about people being burdened by guilt feelings caused by their misconduct, so perhaps she'd be able to (in her words) "fit you in right now, dear girl, and wear you out."
