Well, the comments mean quite a bit, I'd venture--even to writers who'd write stories anyway, I believe it encourages them to put more time and effort into their writing. (It certainly works that way for me.)
I was a long-time member of the now-defunct soc.sexuality.spanking newsgroup, and while I enjoyed the 'back-and-forth' on various topics (not always spanking-related), comments on stories--especially F/M ones--often were pretty sparse, which could be mildly disappointing.
The LSF is undoubtedly the spanking-oriented site which is most proactive in encouraging commenting, at least as far as I can tell, which is probably why it has so many active authors.
So don't undersell the value of regular commentary such as yours--it's a valuable contribution to this Library...
