Over at Bottom Lines, the birthplace of the LSF, a bunch of us enter into what's probably best described as a fantasy football (soccer to those residents over the pond... speaking of which how can you call a game football where the ball is nowhere near the feet 99% of the game!?) league and get to name our own teams. Anyway, I really must point out that the LSFers are currently kicking ass or for our English members, doing jolly well, with two of the LSF staff in the top 6 and our very own mati in third. Stay tuned for further exciting developments, now back to our scheduled programming...

At the risk of drawing yet another snide remark from blimp, let me say WOO-HOO!

Because we're Americans, and we can damned well do whatever it is we feel like. What more justification do we need?

So, to continue, we took the expedient of calling our game 'football' and calling yours 'soccer,' the latter of course being an old Celtic term meaning 'game which almost always ends 0-0 because it is impossible to score a goal.'

Not, if Bayern Munich is playing.

Or the classical Inter Milan team from the 60s and 70s — the only team yet with the revolutionary tactics of trying to win matches zero to minus one.

It's good to see Flopsy's Floppers being discussed alongside the likes of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

PinkAngel:

It's called pacing yourself It's where your team are at the end of the season that counts and Febreeze United will be there or thereabouts.

So long as the NSA have approved it.
