I first came to the site to read in 2010. I saw a few comments here and there, but it was nothing like today. The comments and the forum and the writing challenges where readers vote are the critical elements that build this community and there is not another place like it. I would call it extraordinary. And as long as we are toasting, make my a Chardonnay, please.

Is that with or without the bourbon?

It really made a difference. I doubt that I would have written in the last two years but for all the encouragement and the feedback

And that would have been a great loss for the rest of us. We never would have had our very own LSF movie, for example.

Absolutely. The bottle's already uncorked. Cheers!

Nice post, Rick, and a timely reminder. Like IC, I joined and started writing in May 2010 and was inspired to keep writing by the pleasure of receiving comments, which continue on a Loch Ness monster-style upward trend (Alef'll have to provide an apter word for a squiggly graph).

So, thanks, waiter and Chief Comments-Archivist.

You wouldn't have any Brunello di Montalcino, would you?

Of course! In anticipation of this celebration I placed quite an extensive order at the local internet liquor store - charged to the Library, of course. I assumed that Februs would be in a generous mood and anxious to do this up right.

We may be talking about a geometric Brownian motion here:
