Thanks, everyone. Congratulations aren't really in order, though, since all I'm doing is following that classic Victorian precept, 'do as you would be done by'. I love getting comments on my stories (yes, even negative ones), so I reckon the least I can do is comment on other people's work. But it's good to know my remarks are appreciated.

I'll pass on the cigars, thanks, cs, but brandy is always welcome. (Favourite Major Bloodnok line from The Goon Show, for those ancient enough to recall such things: "Poor fellow, poor fellow! Hold him down while I force this brandy down me throat.")

Please allow me to belatedly add my kudos to the long list already posted. Rest assured, I've appreciated the ones you've directed my way. It's a bit of work to write meaningful comments and still turn out first rate stories light your three recent literary adaptations.
