I'm looking to get myself a few Nexus/Black Lace type books (this site is great for sitting at my PC but I'd like something to read in bed if you know what I mean )and wondered if anyone can recommend any good ones, I used to have loads years ago but a lot of them were too extreme for my tastes at that time (not anymore though, LOL!) plus I can't remember the authors and I'd like to start another collection. I'm mainly interested in M/f although I don't mind some F/f within the same novel (M/m is a total no-no) for a bit of variety. My interests include consensual play and punishment with most implements, bondage and domination. Stuff I truly dislike includes watersports, anything involving blood, body modification and anything to do with minors (not keen on teenagers either as I'm in my forties, LOL, so its hard to relate to someone so young for me, twenties and upwards is fine), I also dislike age play (which I define as father/daughter, uncle/niece etc).

If anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated (availability on Amazon would also be a bonus), I've just been looking on Amazon and there are so many plus this type of book usually has very few reviews so its hard to get a good picture of which are the best to buy

Hi Rollin, oh well done, she was one of the authors I used to have books by (I think). I do still have an odd short story one knocking around, that may be hers, I'll have to check because its a book I enjoyed when I was younger but no so much now (too many pretty pleases, shows a distinct lack of imagination, LOL, it was in every story).

EDIT - I just checked and yes it is her book Different Strokes, however I don't think I've read any full length novels of hers, they might well be better, short stories by the same author do tend to follow "themes" ;o)

Pat Califia's "Macho Sluts" is a collection of stories that I think are the hottest BDSM stories I've ever read....and I've read an awful lot that left me bored. "The Calyx of Isis" (which is in the collection) is probably the best BDSM story around.

If you're looking for novels, http://www.olympiapress.com sells cheap ebook versions of their products. For a buck or two you can download a novel, glance at it, and decide if you want to buy the hard copy version. No, I have no connection to that website - other than I've bough several ebook versions of the porn I read when a teen.

Back then the bookstores wouldn't sell skin mags to teens (not without checking for IDs) but a novel? A paperback book? There weren't any pictures so it couldn't be that bad, could it?

I don't know about that, Goodgulf. I remember when I was around 16 (many, many centuries ago), and some of my local drugstores carried adult books. I frequently sneaked a peek, and was usually VERY careful to see that no one was watching when I picked one off the rack. There was one time when I wasn't so careful, and one of the store clerks caught me. I didn't get in any trouble, but he did say something like, "You're probably not old enough to be reading those, are you?"

I suppose it depended on the area, and maybe even the store.

All I know is that I was able to buy paperbacks but not skin mags.

Hmmm. Let me pull a Marlowe here and shameless plug my friend Jeff Gord's 'House of Gord' book line. All available at his web site of the same name. Nasty, terrible, disgusting, sophisticated, BDSM smut of the finest quality; with illustrations by Benson. Yummy!

How cool is that, to have something named after me? Of course, it isn't TRULY a 'Marlowe' when you're plugging someone else. I have to admit, though, your technique was superb!

I can heartily recommend Josephine Scott's novels (on Amazon). I bought "When the master speaks", "Thorns" and "A slave in time". They haunt you afterwards.
A warning though: "A slave in time" also goes under the name of "Time of her life", no need to buy both of them!
