I think it would be a good idea to put a tip of the week or month on the home page where most of the readers will see it. The first being the comment rule.

But we've done this. OK, it's in Latin, which might be a problem.

May I suggest that we get some scholars of English to translate the Library motto (LEGITE MULTUM, MULTUM SCRIBITE, RECENSETE QUAM PLURIMUM ) into English so that everyone can understand it?

Preferably a committee. Things always work better when done by a committee. A committee with representation from all the places that English is spoken (eg, UK, US, NZ, Canada), or mis-spoken (Texas, Brooklyn, Australia). So as not to be exclusionary, we should even have someone who actually knows Latin too, such as mati. Ask them to report back in six months. That should get things rolling.

Ah yes, Elephant - a mouse designed by a committee. The translation must be at least 100K words in length.

We of course want 5 copies of the report confirming the forming of any committee to be sent to each member of the Library. After having given 10 days to consider this serious matter each member shall be given the opportunity to vote on the matter. The members shall select a number from 1 to 10 and assign that number to the vote. Another committee which will be formed after we get the first recommendation for the committee to be formed shall consider whether any committee is necessary. Before of course forming the committee we shall have to have another committee to make appointments to the first and second committees, who shall then jointly appoint a fourth committee to implement any suggestions. In conclusion a fifth committee will have to be activated to review the entire process to see if any of the previous committees made the right choices. The report of the fifth committee shall then submit a report to the first, second, third and fourth committee to ensure no feelings are hurt and no one can be blamed for anything.

By the way, the English translation of the Latin motto is:

Read lots, write lots, but comment more!'

That's good enough for a preliminary version, but we'll hold off on finalization of the translation until the aforementioned committees have completed their various and sundry assigned duties. We don't want to be making any mistakes.
