Wait - you mean you don't us to send it in at the last possible moment? So that's what I've been doing wrong!

Maybe a whack on the bonce with a frying pan would help motivate you to turn it in earlier?

My problem is twofold:
One: I have to find time to write, when I can rarely find time to even read....

Two: when I write a story I know what I mean to say... Which is a bad thing. My eyes gloss over typos and my mind fills in missing or misused words. At least until the story is out of my head, which means I have to age a story before I can proofread and actually see the errors.

At least now I know I'm not the only one with that problem! But doggone it! Don't you hate it when a challenge comes along and you already submitted a story in the past that would have fit the theme perfectly? This is at least the third time.
Maybe I should have saved my stories and waited for an appropriate challenge to submit them.
Just kidding. Maybe it will give me an incentive to write something new also.

'Typo' is my middle name!!!
I agree with Goodgulf. If its be correct, I have leave it a few days, then re-read it.

In fact, I've even made a typo in my last message!!!
I meant to say: 'If it's to be correct, I have to leave it a few days, then re-read it
