When it comes to kids, and kid "logic", nothing surprises me. They are incapable of thinking the way adults do so often their plans (and the reasoning behind their plans) leave us shaking our heads.

Curiosity, when strong enough, can make you do some pretty incredible things to find something out and satisfy your curiosity. An alternative is that you think you want to try something and in your mind you convince yourself you can handle...maybe way better in your mind than when reality hits.
